Each year, April is National Poetry Month. As part of the 2026 celebration, the Town of Arlington inaugurated its newest Poet Laureate, Teresa Cader. Local poetry events also included reading by the Good Harbor Poets, a Beehive Poetry workshop, and a New Book and Poetry Open Mic, all at Robbins Library. The Arlington Author Salon also featured poetry by local poets Ilan Mochari, Julia Thacker, and Christie Towers.
But you can take part in reading, hearing, writing and simply enjoying poetry in Arlington all year round. Now more than ever, words matter. Poetry matters.
