Poet Laureate Application Deadline Extended

Do you consider yourself a poet? Are you interested in advocating for the written word and poetic literacy in Arlington? The Town of Arlington is searching for its next Poet Laureate! And if you answered those two questions in the positive, you should definitely be applying for this position. The three-year term is perfect for a dynamic, self-motivated poet to act as the town’s leading poetic voice, working with local poets and writers, and encouraging the reading and writing of poetry in Arlington. Engagement in the arts in Arlington is high, and poetry needs an ambassador  to promote the literary arts through conversation, readings, public appearances and workshops. If you plan to apply via snail mail, please submit your documents – the application, your CV/Resume, samples of poetry and other supplementary information – postmarked or hand-delivered no later than November 30, 2022 to the Board of Selectman at Arlington Town Hall, 730 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington MA 02476, or hand delivered to the Board of Selectmen’s Office in Town Hall.
