GET YOUR MOTOR RUNNING AT GARAGE BAND!

Get ready for a day of music and celebration on June 18, with Arlington Porchfest and Garage Band!

Arlington’s favorite grassroots community music festival — Arlington Porchfest — starts at noon on Saturday June 18th to a porch near you! Come out to this special day of music, brought to you by Arlington Center for the Arts, and enjoy hundreds of  musicians and bands of all flavors, on porches running from west to east! The fun goes on all day, culminating in the “after party” — GARAGE BAND!

Garage Band is The Arlington Porchfest’s “after party” and is made possible through the Arlington Commission for Arts & Culture’s Live Arts program. Arlington Service Station at 334 Mass Ave (next to Walgreens just past Arlington Center) hosts this special event, featuring The Squeezebox Stompers playing zydeco, Cajun and more that is sure to get you up and dancing! Free and family friendly! Garage Band begins after Arlington Porchfest, 6 – 8pm. The Raindate is Sunday, June 19th.

Garage Band is a pop-up dance party, and it’s a great space to celebrate community and music, and wind down your Arlington Porchfest experience. You can read about past Garage Band success here on Arts Arlington. Arlington Porchfest is made possible in part by a Festivals Grant from the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
