Chairful Where You Sit 2021 is ON!

Come see the latest crop of artistically reinvented chairs created for the 2021 version of Chairful Where You Sit. Over 30 creatives from Arlington, Boston, Somerville, Cape Cod, and Maine have contributed their efforts to help raise funds for Arlington’s vibrant public art programming. An online auction is part of this fundraiser, and you can view the chairs and bid here: www.biddingowl.com/ArtsArlington. The auction website will be open until 5pm on September 5!
View the chairs in person on Saturday, August 21 from 12 to 5 on the grounds of the Jason Russell House, 7 Jason Street near Arlington Center. Free live music, a chance to vote for your favorite chair, and more will be on offer to the public. Chairs can be purchased through an online auction beginning on August 21 at noon and ending on Sept. 5 at 9 pm.

What is Chairful?

Chairful Where You Sit is a one-day outdoor art installation and fundraiser for the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture featuring artistically transformed chairs and other small furniture items rescued from basements and curbs. Since 2012, our event has saved over 400 chairs from the trash and raised significant funds to support our public art projects. New this year — we’re accepting artistically revamped small furniture items like side tables in addition to chairs!
