Chairful Where You Sit

Chairful Where You Sit is a one-day outdoor art installation and fundraiser for the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture featuring artistically transformed chairs and other small furniture items rescued from basements and curbs. Since 2012, our event has saved over 400 chairs from the trash and raised significant funds to support our public art projects. New this year — we’re accepting artistically revamped small furniture items like side tables in addition to chairs!
Chairful will be an online auction event August 23 to Sept. 7, with a public viewing on Sat., August 21, noon – 5pm at the Jason Russell House.
We are planning a hybrid event with both a one day outdoors preview of the chairs and a two week long online auction event. If you are an artist interested in creating a piece of art for Chairful, please visit here for more details!
