Chairful Where You Sit

Chairful Where You Sit is a one-day outdoor art installation and fundraiser for the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture featuring artistically transformed chairs and other small furniture items rescued from basements and curbs. Since 2012, our event has saved over 400 chairs from the trash and raised significant funds to support our public art projects. New this year — we’re accepting artistically revamped small furniture items like side tables in addition to chairs!

This year, our event will take place on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at Uncle Sam Plaza in Arlington Center from 11am to 6pm.

All items may be purchased for a donation of $100.

Everyone is invited to participate. Want to create a chair for 2020 Chairful Where you Sit?  Read the Call for Artists FAQ for information to get started!
