New ArtsArlingtonCreates Facebook Group

In a partial response to the Covid-19 crisis, the Arlington Commission for the Arts and Culture has launched a new ArtsArlington Creates Facebook group intended to connect people involved in our creative participatory projects, such as Plarn Art to Save the Planet, Artist-in-Residence Michelle Lougee‘s current public art project for the Minuteman Bikeway.

Designed as a more interactive space than the regular ArtsArlington Facebook page, it’s a place for members to share updates and photos; have active discussions with the Artist-in-Residence; and make plans for collaboration – for example, trade supplies, schedule a coaching Zoom call, or organize small meet-ups to work together.

Although specifically launched as a means for the community to remain connected during the Covid-19 crisis and social distancing restrictions, the group will remain an active virtual community for neighbors interested in hands-on engagement with other ACAC public art programs in the future.
