Chairful Where You Sit, now in it’s 6th year, has become a much-awaited community art event. Chairful is on view one day only during Porchfest at Uncle Sam Plaza, Arlington Center, Saturday, June 8, 11- 6 pm. Visitors will see over 50 amazing, unique, and surprising chairs designed and decorated by creative community members. Each chair will be available for a $100 donation to the Fund for Public Art and will help to sustain our vibrant public art programming. We invite you to view these unique creations and vote for your favorite. At 5 pm, the Peoples’ Choice Awards will be distributed to the three most popular chairs, based on ballots collected during the day. There will also be a juror’s award and an award given by A-DOG for the most creative animal themed chair. This year, our theme is Sustainability: Flora and Fauna.

We are very grateful to the almost 50 Chairful artists who have donated their time, talent, and art supplies to this effort. Without them, where would Chairful be?
Thank you, also, to the generous businesses who have donated gift certificates for our People’s Choice and Juror awards: Artbeat, Kickstand Cafe, Za restaurant, and Arlington Centered.
